The Diversity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Coalition (DISC) was established to develop a committee that focuses on community collaboration between organizations who support marginalized students in STEM.
Mission of the Coalition:
"To support the retention and success of marginalized students in STEM at UC Davis and foster community between diversity-focused organizations in STEM by collaboratively hosting professional development events."
Approved on July 14th, 2020.
Our 2020-2021 Goals:
1. Provide and showcase resources that support academic and professional advancement to marginalized students in STEM at UC Davis
2. Cultivate relationships with UC Davis entities to serve a broad range of students in STEM
3. Collaboratively host at least one large- and one small-scale event
